On Friday 9th August, we held our annual Golf Day event — at the beautiful Meldrum House Country Hotel & Golf Course in Oldmeldum, Aberdeenshire.
This event is always a fantastic opportunity to catch-up with clients, contacts and colleagues, and offer a chance for relaxed networking among the group of attendees.
As always, the service and facilities at Meldrum House was excellent, and the whole team wishes to express our gratitude to them for their hospitality and care throughout proceedings.
Fundraising for Charity
Once again, we were delighted to be raising funds for Clan Cancer Support — a vital north east Scotland charity who provide emotional and physical support to people affected by cancer, their family, carers and friends.
Funds were raised through sign-up fees for the Golf Day and direct donations, alongside the option to buy ‘Mulligans’ prior to teeing off and a special ‘Ball in the Boat’ competition at the course’s half-way house.
Teeing Off
Starting mid-morning with breakfast rolls and refreshments in the Clubhouse, with goodie bags for all. We were delighted to be joined by an array of colleagues, clients and contacts from across a variety of industries — including oil & gas, marine & subsea, chemicals, IT, engineering, manufacturing — among them, some very skilled golfers.
The golf was in a ‘Texas Scramble’ format, in groups of four, allowing golfers of various handicaps to play together in a team. Once the introductions were made, each team set off from the first tee. While the conditions were rather windy at times, the Scottish weather mostly cooperated and our group enjoyed some sunshine for lengthy periods.

Fundraising Total
Through a very well-attended Golf Day event, the ‘ball in the boat’ competition, a few wisely-purchased mulligans and additional donations from Quensh, we were able to raise a great total for our chosen charity.
Our thanks go all who attended and played, and thanks to Clan Cancer Support for joining us on the day.
We were thrilled to raise a total of £1000 for Clan Cancer Support.
