University of Aberdeen Student Completes 8 Week ESG Internship

University of Aberdeen student completes 8 week internship in ESG at Quensh

A student from the University of Aberdeen recently completed an 8 week internship placement with Quensh as part of the University’s ABDN Internships programme.

Adithya Kannan joined the team in the internship role of Environmental Advisor / Coordinator — getting hands-on experience with all manner of ESG related tasks and scopes of work for a variety of Quensh clients.

The ABDN Internships programme offers paid internship opportunities exclusively for University of Aberdeen students — with host companies that span a range of commercial businesses and third sector organisations.

Hardworking, diligent and keen to learn, Adithya was a pleasure to work with, and the Quensh team appreciated his contributions and effort throughout his internship with us.

ESG Advice, Strategy and Reporting

Adithya supported the Quensh team in the following areas:

  • Providing sustainability expertise to clients and supporting business needs to drive and embed sustainability throughout our organisation and services.
  • Working closely with clients to improve and report on their sustainability performance.
  • Supporting clients in delivering on sustainability strategies, including the development of actionable recommendations.
  • Preparing and delivering client and public-facing reports and presentations.
  • Non-financial sustainability reporting, including data processing, in alignment with leading standards (e.g., GRI and UN SDGs).
  • Researching sustainability topics, reports, and standards to align with our requirements and enhance deliverables.

The First of Many

Adithya’s time with Quensh was a first for us too — and we’re delighted that we’re now able to support internships in key business areas. A priority for us was to ensure that Adithya’s role had real, actionable impact and that it gave him a truly hands-on experience of professional work in the ESG realm.

We hope that this ABDN Internship is the first of many placements we can host in the coming years, reflecting Quensh’s continuous desire to help people develop their skills and careers, while actively supporting a variety of clients.

The whole Quensh team wishes Adithya all the best in his future endeavours, and we will follow his career with interest.
